Ian Skelly
Consultant to HRH The Prince of Wales
Ian Skelly has been working closely with HRH The Prince of Wales for several years helping him to articulate the detail of the proposition behind Harmony. In speeches and lectures and now in their book, Harmony, co-authored with the environmentalist, Tony Juniper, Ian has helped the Prince to explain how each of the key areas of the Prince’s concern are rooted to principles derived from observing Nature’s essential rhythms, patterns, cycles and processes.

Ian has been speaking and writing about these matters himself for many years in lectures, talks and in documentaries for the BBC. He has been a broadcaster with the BBC for over 25 years where he began as a news reporter and programme producer and then, for ten years, he hosted news and current affairs shows. He then switched to classical music and programmes about the serious arts. He has been a host with the BBC's national music station, Radio 3, for the last sixteen years.

Ian is also an award-winning travel writer and is Chairman of the Temenos Academy, of which the Prince of Wales is Patron. The Academy runs a programme of lectures in London offering teaching in traditional philosophy as it appears in the arts and all sacred traditions of the East and West. He lives in north London with his wife and two children.
